These terms govern your use of QuataFood, a service operated by Quata Digital. By creating an account or placing an order you accept them.
1. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- Keep your phone, MPIN and one-time codes confidential. You're responsible for orders placed from your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, abuse, or repeated violations of these terms.
2. Placing orders
When you place an order, the restaurant accepts it as soon as it confirms in the partner app. Until then, you can cancel for a full refund. Once confirmed, cancellation is at the restaurant's discretion.
Estimated delivery times are estimates only — traffic, weather and kitchen load can affect them. We don't guarantee a specific delivery time.
3. Pricing and payments
- Prices are set by each restaurant and shown including any applicable VAT.
- Delivery fees, service fees and tips are shown clearly at checkout before you confirm.
- We accept wallet, mobile money (via QuataPay) and cash on delivery. Disputes over a payment must be raised within 30 days.
4. Refunds
If your order doesn't arrive, arrives damaged, or is materially wrong, contact support from the order screen. Eligible refunds typically land in your wallet within 24 hours; bank refunds may take 3–7 business days.
5. Restaurants ("Partners")
- Partners are independent businesses responsible for the quality, safety and accuracy of their menus.
- QuataFood charges a commission on each order — the rate is agreed at onboarding and can be revised with 30 days' notice.
- Partners must comply with all applicable health, safety, food-handling and labour laws.
6. Riders
- Riders use QuataFood as independent contractors unless explicitly contracted as employees.
- Riders must hold a valid driving licence and insurance for the vehicle they use, and follow all road laws.
- Misconduct (theft, harassment, dangerous driving) leads to immediate and permanent suspension.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use QuataFood for anything illegal.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's normal operation.
- Impersonate another person or use multiple accounts to abuse promotions.
8. Liability
QuataFood acts as a marketplace between you and the restaurant or rider. Our liability for any single order is capped at the value of that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (e.g. fraud or gross negligence).
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use QuataFood after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Douala.
